Before it, the company produced only racing models and series in a small number of copies.

And then a magnificent representative appeared, created on the basis of the engine of the allied Austrian company Rotax. The first pilot version of the motorcycle was presented back in 2003 in the Czech Republic, where it caused a wave of emotions.

The contradictory opinions made the model the first PR campaign, which made the developers understand the genius of the project.

Java 650 retained many of its signature features, but also acquired new ones. There are several advantages of the model:

  • The design of the motorcycle is created in such a way that a person can easily service it (candles, thermostat and other elements are conveniently located);
  • The power unit and gearbox are pleasing with their characteristics even now, so many years after the model was released;

The classic Jawa quality has been preserved , but the model also has several disadvantages:

  • Instability of braking (the front shock absorber reaches its limit during moderate braking);
  • In some phases of riding, the vibration of the engine increases (for a single-cylinder motorcycle this is natural, but the sensations are very strange while riding);
  • Feedback from owners and experts conducting test drives revealed another problem: there are installation defects in the electrical equipment system (this does not create serious problems during further operation if you carefully monitor this).

Model 650 became popular not only in its homeland , as most copies were exported.

Thanks to its pleasant and simple controls, the motorcycle fell in love with the female audience. Although the men did not deprive him of attention.

Jawa 650 Classic

The Java 650 Classic, also known as the Police, defies definition.

Even the creator himself declared the model as something special and exceptional.

The 650 is powered by Bombardier's proven, water-cooled Rotax engine with a four-valve cylinder head. In addition to the Czech motorcycle, similar power units were installed on the Aprillia Pegaso Strada/Trail and BMW F650.

Many excellent two- and even three-wheeled vehicles were created by Czechoslovak designers. The Java 650 motorcycle of the above type is considered to be as balanced as possible according to its technical, ergonomic and aesthetic characteristics. In addition to its beautiful modern appearance, which attracts the attention of others, the bike has the most convenient operational properties.

The high maneuverability of the Jawa 650 Style allows you to quickly move on the bike both on city streets and on the highway. This model can bring a sense of superiority to the life of any motorcyclist. This iron horse has many advantages, which we will discuss below. Power unit

The Java 650 motorcycle in the Classic version is equipped with a purchased Rotax engine (model 654 DS) with a power of 48 hp. (35.4 kW) at 6500 rpm. At that time, it was a very modern power unit, which was installed on motorcycles from many manufacturers. The starting system is from an electric starter. The power unit is a four-stroke single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 652 cm3. Thanks to this high indicator, the torque is 57 N/m and is achieved at 5 thousand revolutions.

The cylinder head has 4 valves, and the camshafts in the head are driven by a chain. The engine has a liquid cooling system and a dry sump lubrication system. Despite the fairly high compression ratio, the motorcycle can run on A92 gasoline. Although it is more desirable to use A95.

Due to the relative simplicity of the design and low boost, the engine is not picky in maintenance and has a long service life (especially in comparison with old 2-stroke engines). The transmission has 5 speeds and is supplied by Rotax with the engine.
