The colored stripe on the engine indicates the model year.

Many people love these bagger designs with their old school charm. But what usually captivates me the most is the batwing. The full-length front fender with the sides cut off to reveal the Talon's disc is another characteristic feature of these motorcycles. The black wheels contrast perfectly with the chrome parts, so covering them with a fender is a real crime. Although Talon wheels are also installed on motorcycles painted in darker colors, then they do not use chrome, but a dark anodized coating. The Beercan fork boot not only performs a decorative function, but also protects the internal stays. Like the rims, they are painted in different colors depending on the color scheme of the motorcycle itself. The lower fairings protect the pilot's legs and also house two of the six Boom! Stage II.

The remaining speakers are located inside the front fairing and in the saddlebag covers. The speaker system produces 600 watts, so rest assured that everyone around you will know your musical tastes. You can control your melodies using the Boom! multimedia system. Box GTS. It is a 6.5-inch touch display. Working with the music menu is no different from working with navigation or a phone: you can select, drag, and swipe. The multimedia system of the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide cruiser is compatible with the Apple CarPlay application. It works even in the rain, even if the pilot is wearing gloves. Why, the system works, even if you control it with your voice!

All you need to do is activate the Bluetooth function on your phone. On the instrument panel, located behind the front fairing, you can see the usual round analog instruments, a variety of indicators and LED screens. One of the advantages of the butwing fairing is the location of the rear-view mirrors inside the fairing itself. They look very harmonious with the low windshield. The fuel tank holds 22.7 liters of fuel, this amount is enough for almost 400 km. The volume of hard cases is 68 liters, they open so easily that you don’t even have to take off your gloves for this manipulation.

The custom style is maintained even down to the smallest details: the vertical LED taillights look very attractive. Visually, together with the panniers, they form a single rear fairing.

Review of the Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide 2015 motorcycle

Harley-Davidson has upgraded its best-selling motorcycle.

Each model year, Harley-Davidson releases several custom models under the Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) brand for its most loyal and discerning customers. Typically, these limited edition models serve as a testing ground for new parts, features and finishes before being added to the factory accessory catalogue. It is logical that for such an important task the manufacturer chooses the most popular models that best reflect what the company has in its arsenal. Street Glide's status as Harley-Davidson's best-selling motorcycle makes it an obvious candidate for inclusion in the CVO custom lineup. While CVO Harleys receive plenty of performance-enhancing upgrades, it's their plush looks and expensive finishes that draw attention to these bikes. . The CVO Street Glide is no exception. Chrome five-spoke Aggressor wheels, handlebars, footrests, fairing, gas tank cap, rear view mirrors - every little detail is beautiful, as befits a custom from the manufacturer. The illuminated CVO badge on the fuel tank deserves special mention. This attention to detail is also evident in the design of the side bags and the premium audio system.

The illuminated CVO badge looks cool at night. A chrome gas cap can be seen in the background.

Following the trends in the world of custom baggers, the CVO Street Glide was equipped with a premium audio system, for the sake of which you wouldn’t be ashamed to put the motorcycle on the terrace while barbecuing. At the core is the Boom! infotainment system. Box 6.5GT, and the sound power with two 300-watt amplifiers is 75 watts per channel. To ensure that the music sounds not just loud, but also clear and pleasant, the system uses various equalizers that make the sound as clear as possible at any volume level. On the go, Dynamic EQ adjusts the sound for optimal performance in a variety of conditions, whether it's a leisurely stroll down the boulevard or cruising down the highway.

After spending a day behind the wheel of the new CVO Street Glide, we can confidently say that it's not just marketing hype. Bye Boom! Box has a good signal, you will get better sound on the road. When you go beyond the strong FM signal, you will probably want to switch to an mp3 player, otherwise you will listen to an amplified and equalized lousy radio signal with interference.

75 watts per channel of high-quality sound.

All these bells and whistles are very, very cool (we haven't even discussed the exclusive paint yet), but the CVO Street Glide's engine steals the show. This year, all CVO models are equipped with 1801 cubic centimeter engines - the largest engine in HD's arsenal. The Street Glide features a Screamin' Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110 engine with liquid-cooled cylinder heads. We were already pleased with the Project Rushmore-improved engine in the 2013 Street Glide, which produced 77 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque on the dyno, but the CVO V-twin produces a claimed 156 pound-feet of torque at the crankshaft! Yeah baby! As soon as you release the clutch, you feel how much more powerful and responsive the engine is, and at any throttle opening, and not just at full throttle.

The radiator hiding behind the lowered fairing is a sign that this is an engine with a Twin-Cooled cooling system.

Classic fairing and brand new liquid cooling.

But Harley-Davidson didn't just install a standard engine with more power. Due to the increased power of the CVO engine, an Assist and Slip ClutchPack was developed to eliminate some clutch slip during downshifts. Thus, less force is required to operate the clutch. At low speeds in a traffic jam, the clutch moves softly and easily, so that the engine seems calmer than it actually is (remember its technical characteristics). When accelerating and downshifting to enter a corner, clutch slipping makes shifting smoother.

And that's a good thing, as the Street Glide handles well enough to handle twisty sections of road at impressive speeds. The steering is surprisingly light and responsive, despite the weight and size of the motorcycle. The improvements from Project Rushmore definitely benefit the Street Glide, and at speed the bike feels smaller and lighter than it actually is. This cruiser makes turns and turns quite easily and gracefully.

The CVO Street Glide has the same impressive ground clearance as our favorite Street Glide Special.

Our criticism of this custom is the same as that of other Street Glide models - the rear suspension travel is too small. 53 millimeters of travel limits the motorcycle's capabilities and does not make the rider's position more comfortable. On bumpy asphalt you feel every bump in the road.

Let's talk about the chic appearance of the CVO Street Glide, which is what you pay for when you buy such a luxurious custom. In the photos above you can see the motorcycle in a dark blue color with orange flames (UltravioletBlue/MoltenLavaFlames), which will undoubtedly attract the attention of everyone around. Three other color options are also available, which can be admired on the manufacturer’s official website: ScorchingYellow/StarfireBlackFlames, StarfireBlack/GoldDustFlames and HardCandyMercury/SmokyQuartzFlames. Overall, the quality of the CVO Street Glide's exclusive trim matches its status and its crazy price ($36,349 in the US).

High quality paint and chrome Aggressor wheels.

In the case of the CVO Street Glide, the legendary American company took an already impressive motorcycle, equally at home on the streets and country trails, and made it stronger and louder. Literally. The increase in engine displacement has radically changed the way the bike accelerates, but most importantly, work has been done to optimize power delivery and make such a formidable engine easier to control. And of course, there is an audio system with rear speakers on the side bags and an eye-catching design that will not go unnoticed. The CVO Street Glide is another worthy representative of this line of custom Harley-Davidsons.

Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide Chassis

The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide cruiser is built on a familiar duplex frame welded from steel pipes. The engine rests on the frame, and not otherwise. Powerful Showa forks support the front end of the bike, while dual valve technology ensures a very smooth ride. At the rear, an emulsion shock absorber is connected to a rocker-shaped swingarm. Using a special knob, you can adjust the preload, you just have to get your knees dirty and work with a key. When the FL models were created, they were designed for highway driving. The CVO Street Glide motorcycle exhibits the same DNA. The steering column is set at an angle of 26 degrees. The trail is an amazing 170mm for maximum stability. The path is paved by a 130/60-19 front wheel, and a 180/55-18 wheel at the rear.

As for the braking system, there is a dual brake disc and 4-piston caliper at the front and a matching caliper at the rear. ABS function is included as standard. For such a large bike, the Street Glide is very well proportioned: -1625.6mm wheelbase, -663mm seat height.

Motorcycle Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide 2021 review

The description of the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide 2020 motorcycle is in the queue for publication of the article. Announcement: Today, for almost every new motorcycle that comes into being, marketers strive to carve out their own niche. This one is a road sport, this one is a recreational enduro. But what class should we include a motorcycle that has a little bit of everything? A good bike should have a reliable engine, comfortable ergonomics and simple controls...

Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide is a motorcycle of average popularity in Russia. Despite the fact that good models of motorcycles have a very respectable price, and the season for their use is relatively short, the motorcycle market is developing rapidly. And if you believe the words of dealers, then some models of recently released motorcycles are selling like hot cakes at the beginning of the season, and the models brought to Russia are clearly not enough to fully satisfy consumer demand.

A motorcycle has long ceased to be an alternative to a car, and the times when this equipment was bought only because there was not enough money for a full-fledged car are forgotten. Nowadays, two-wheelers can be called technological marvels in many cases, and their cost can be compared with that of prestigious cars.

Many people have started buying motorcycles for hobby purposes as riding or even collecting them has become a good pastime for many people. Many motorcycles, for example the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide, whose technical characteristics make it possible to call the model a prestigious brand, are in demand among both beginners and experienced motorcyclists.

Motorcycles with an engine capacity of 1923 cc / 117 cu-in. see, appeared as a result of long work of inventors who sought to create a model that was not inferior in characteristics to other versions of the motorcycle. In some cases, these models are not only not inferior, but also ahead of other motorcycles, as they have minimal fuel consumption and other excellent parameters.

Motorcycles with an engine capacity of more than 400 kb. cm, which includes the Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide - this category of motorcycles simply cannot claim the title of “motorcycle for a beginner.” On the contrary, this is already a serious technique that requires certain control of motorcycle equipment with a smaller engine capacity. Yes, she attracts more attention, she is the most beautiful, fast, interesting and there is a huge selection of models. But as power increases, the weight of the motorcycle inevitably increases. In this class you are unlikely to find motorcycles lighter than 180 kg, unless they are the latest motorcycle models.

Milwaukee Eight 117 engine

Now let's move on to the main thing. The Harley Davidson CVO Street Glide cruiser is powered by a huge 1,923 cc Milwaukee Eight 117 V-twin engine (the cylinders are positioned at an angle of 45 degrees). cm. The motor produces an unprecedented torque of 169.5 Nm, the engine pulls well even in the lower range and reaches maximum power at 3500 rpm. Unfortunately, the engine is equipped with an air-cooling system, so the heat at stops can only be avoided by installing a radiator. The gas distribution system has a classic design: one cam, four valves with pushers. The cylinder bore and stroke are 103.5 mm and 114.3 mm, respectively.

The compression ratio is slightly higher than usual - 10.2:1. The throttle body does not benefit from the torque-limiting technology that debuted on trikes this year. The motorcycle is not equipped with traction control. HarleyDavidson uses a different technique: instead of using the engine, the rear brake is activated. The exchange rate stabilization system is also currently installed only on tricycles. The six-speed transmission is belt driven. This is the largest engine on the market.

The 2021 CVO Street Glide is priced regardless of paint color. And the color can be chosen from three options: metallic gray (with chrome accents), blueberry (not bright chrome parts) and black (all parts are black, except for the stops, valve lifters and the ends of the cooling system fins).
