Historically, the authors of this idea when organizing suspension were the French. And to be even more precise, representatives of the car company Citroen. They were the first to use air suspension on cars. And for good reason, because it provides a number of advantages.

Next, a fitting is installed in the housing, through which air will be supplied through a plastic tube. In addition, the bottom surface of the compressor should be abandoned.

- The maintainability of the air suspension is 0. Whatever component fails, it can only be replaced; it cannot be restored. Considering their cost, you begin to value travel comfort much less. And if you add the price of the work being carried out to the price of spare parts, the thought inevitably creeps in that our roads are not so bad, and a conventional suspension is quite capable of coping with them;
- The frost resistance of the air suspension is very low. Even temperatures slightly below 0 have an extremely negative effect on it, which brings us back to point 1;
- The air suspension is absolutely not friendly with the indispensable companion of winter in a metropolis - road reagents. The consequences of their interaction again return us to the need to spend money according to point 1.
