The installation of a guardrail on a vehicle is qualified by traffic regulations as making changes to the design of the vehicle. By law, such changes must undergo a registration process with the traffic police.
When changes are made without the consent of the authorities, the owner of the vehicle is held accountable under Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
This article provides for two types of administrative punishment:
- Warning. Applicable upon initial prosecution, subject to sincere repentance of the car owner and bringing the car to its original condition.

Kanguryatniks are usually painted from simple black pipes. However, it may also be a good idea to coat stainless parts with paint. The only counterargument to this process is the constant damage to the coating when driving off-road. Tree branches, fine sand and stones negatively affect the paint layer. If this does not scare you, you can safely paint the product.
- Wash the structure. Dirt will prevent the paint from applying evenly.
- Sand the metal pipes over the entire surface with fine-grit sandpaper. This is necessary to improve grip.
- Use an antistatic cloth to remove any dust generated during sanding.
- Degrease the surface of the kenguryat.
- Apply a coat of anti-corrosion primer in one even layer and allow it to dry.
- Now you can start applying paint from a can. If you wish, you can also use regular paint, which is filled into a spray gun, but for this process you will need a separate tool (using the same spray gun as for applying primer is prohibited).
Let the product dry thoroughly. After that, you can enjoy the view of the painted kangaroo.

- Find the center of the bottom crossbar of the cage. You will be guided by it when installing the structure.
- Weld the tubes to the kenguryat at the same distance between each other as the spars are located. Make sure that the center of the structure remains in place. It is important for you to maintain symmetry.
- Attach metal plates about 10 mm thick to the ends of the pipes, which have holes for bolts.
- Create holes of the required diameter in the appropriate places on the side members.
