Wide rear wheel (Moskvich 401) | Topic started by: Brandon
And so, you need a 16″ disk from the ancient Moskvich 400 or 401 and a steel hub from the Urals, they call it “Romashka”.
If we correctly connect these parts, then we get the opportunity to install rubber with a width of up to 130mm in the original Ural-Dnieper pendulum. By the way, we are not afraid of almost any technical inspection; the frame has not been touched.
There are two connection options:
A so-called “spacer” is ordered at a familiar factory. It is a metal washer about 10mm thick which, being between the hub and the disk, moves the disk away from the cardan and prevents the tire from touching the same cardan. 5 holes are drilled in the spacer, threads are cut in the holes, studs are screwed into the holes and welded on the back side, after which the spacer is centered and welded to the hub, and the wheel rim is attached to all this with standard Moskvich nuts. It is best to take nuts from Moskvich 2140-lux. They are chrome plated and hide the studs.
Positive points: in case of problems with the hub or disk, nothing prevents you from getting rid of the damaged one and installing a new one. Negative points: the weight of the wheel increases, you need to sharpen the spacer, studs, etc.
In the Moskvich disk, the central hole expands so that the hub brake drum fits into it with a slight interference. Right in the center. It's harder to do than to write. There are many ways. Some do this with a grinder, others drill out the perimeter with a drill, others do it at the factory, on a coordinate machine. The result should be the same: after final assembly, the wheel should not have excessive runout. But if you did everything correctly, then you can move on to the final stage of assembly. Place the disc with tension on the brake drum and place it on the motorcycle, first hanging its rear part. If there is a problem with the interference, you can lightly weld the disc to the hub. After which everything is finally centered and carefully welded.
Positive points: no need to make a spacer, studs, etc. Negative points: the hub and disc are now a single unit and, if something happens, you will have to throw away the entire wheel. The view from the left side is not very good. The wheel resembles a basin from which the wheel axle sticks out. Of course, if you think about everything in advance, then you can place a disc brake in this “basin,” but you may have to sharpen a new hub, and this is not so cheap.
And also, fans of spoked wheels can try installing an alloy hub from MT instead of a homemade one, but that’s another topic. View all images
Roma (Gemelle) You can also install some kind of spare parts, for example from Toyota.
Andrey (Sanctius) Excellent. Thank you.
Alexey (Kineesha) yeah, you’ll only find wheels from a Muscovite, and if you find them, you’ll be fucking killed by car tires. So if anyone wants to bother, then pick up motorcycle tires.
Roma (Gemelle) Alexey, Yes, it hasn’t gone anywhere in a straight line yet, but turning will be quite inconvenient. So it’s true, not everything is simple with a tire.
Alexey (Kineesha) but this option has a big advantage, when installing the wheel drive. As you already said, there are no problems when passing it, and if you wish, you can install a standard wheel five minutes ago.
Oleg (Chastity) And on the front? Will it be bad to manage?
Roma (Gemelle) Of course, the turns will not be real
Oleg (Chastity) Is there anything besides the Muscovite?
Anton (Mrinali) as an option is also made from spare tires (thin spare tires from cars). I found one from some Ford with the size exactly 130/16.
How to choose the right mud tires
It should be noted that motorbike tires have design features. Tires can be radial or bias-ply. In the second, the fibers are not located at right angles to the profile pattern in the center. These tires are suitable for bikes used on long trips.
On a note!
In radial wheels, the fibers run perpendicular to the center of the profile pattern. To increase the rigidity of the tire, a solid nylon belt is used. It is located under the profile covering.
Radial motorcycle tires have an “R” marking on the cord, diagonal tires have a “-” mark, and diagonal tires with a reinforced belt have a “B” marking. In addition, the disk size is indicated on the cord. The R17 says it's a 17-inch radial. To clarify the speed limit, tables are used. In them, a certain speed limit receives a separate letter.

Reinforced tires with a tube are marked “TT”, while tires without a tube are marked “TL”. To have an idea of the speed, you should make out the inscription on the cord, for example, 150/70 B17 69N TL:
- "TL" means the tire is tubeless. “B” is a diagonal product with a reinforced belt.
- 17 – size.
- The number 150 indicates the width of the tire.
- 70 – ratio of width to height of the profile pattern.
- 69 – maximum load.
- “H” is the maximum speed limit, which in this situation is 120 km/h.
Mud tires for the Ural motorcycle are marked “M/T”. Mud tires for motorcycles are universal.
Motorcycle tire marking
An experienced motorcyclist on such wheels will be able to travel almost anywhere, including:
- clean road;
- damp road surface;
- mud porridge;
- off-road.
Mud Terrain (M/T) class tires have a hard and rough tread. With mud tires you can not be afraid of off-road conditions, and even take part in races. Riding a motorcycle with mud tires requires experience. But you should not use them in cold weather, since a sudden start or the desire to perform a maneuver and quickly brake will lead to a skid.
Note!
Extreme tires are among the best for off-road driving. These tires perform well on soft ground and when driving through muddy porridge and puddles.

people, like in the Urals, you can put the rear wheel of a car xxxeellp
╰☆╮ (Honorius) you weld a car part into a Ural daisy. minimum rework
Vladislav (Erasmus) You explained it straight away. He will understand everything right away)))
Alexey (Liang) You also explain to him that you need to move the motor so that the cardan goes through. He believes that the rear and front wheels of the car are different. It is not necessary to explain it this way, but the way I will explain it below.
Alexey (Liang) 1. You buy a rear wheel from a car of the xxxeeell brand (don’t confuse it with the front one, they are very similar)! 2. You place the Ural on the central stand, and ask mom and dad to hold it from left to right so that it doesn’t fall.3. You put a wheel on top of the Urals, bracing it with ropes so that it doesn’t fall. All the women will be yours!
K (Booty Pie) So he definitely understood
Roma (Chaderick) it’s interesting, when people write all sorts of crap, do they read it, or believe it themselves. Well, okay, when some question leads to a dead end, but sometimes they ask such crap.
╰☆╮ (Honorius) it’s one thing to roll it out... it looks beautiful and you can install it without expanding the pendulum. My motocross bike is 120 mm wide, but with a wide one it’s just a lot of trouble, and the consumption will increase and the handling will be worse
╰☆╮ (Honorius) why move this motor, you mount it on the hub under a sprocket, there will be a chain drive... and the gearbox is mounted immediately in front of the rear wheel, you can just install a disc brake on the way. I think it can handle it
RUSTAM (Ashraf) I fucked your mouth motherfuckers
RUSTAM (Ashraf) bitch don't bother mommy and daddy
RUSTAM (Ashraf) I put you in the place of the wheel freak

Types of cars
Transport is a constant success among boys, and even modern girls. Therefore, you can start by making a car for children. A car made from tires for a playground can be of various brands (types) - from very simple to quite complex.
Instructions for making a car from wheels
The simplest option would be to bury a steering wheel from a real car and a seat into a quadrangle made of tires.
It is better to choose a place for the site where the craft will be installed that is illuminated, spacious, and located close to the house. The best covering would be a backfill of sand or a lawn, which will have to be cleared of stones and glass to protect children from injury.
Machine-shop
It won't be difficult to make it. To do this, after thoroughly cleaning and painting the board, it is secured between tires of the same size. These will be the rear wheels. The front ones can be done in the same way. But you can install only one wheel in the center so that the craft resembles a racing car.
The depth of the holes for the wheels of the car should be such that the latter are hidden up to the disk. Then transport will be sustainable. After covering them with soil, compact it well. It is better to dig in tires with rims. But, if they are not there, you can replace them with plywood to give the structure rigidity.
Linoleum is used to imitate flooring, but it can be replaced with plywood. To prevent the wind from picking up the linoleum, it is advisable to dig the steering wheel into the ground through it. The tilt of the steering wheel is selected in accordance with the height of a particular child.
Truck made from tires
You can make a children's sandbox in the shape of a truck.

Topic: Rear wheel from car, how?
Good day. All my life I dreamed of building a custom bike. And then two scraps fell into my hands (62 and 8.103 10). There are a lot of ideas, but first I want to install a wide wheel. But I have no idea where to start. Can you help? PS Budget is limited.
Motorcycle made from tires for a playground
Hello! Today I want to share with you the process of making a motorcycle from tires for the playground!
And I immediately want to pay attention to the safety of my homemade tires, with regard to the “well-flower bed” or “slide-house” and this motorcycle. For my children it is completely safe. This is in addition to the comments on the previous homemade product. I answer everyone’s question: When will childhood traumatism begin? I answer that in my case it won’t start, why? Because I approach this seriously and meaningfully, if necessary I redo it several times to avoid problematic situations!
So in order to make a motorcycle.
We will need:
7 tires of different diameters: 4 R16 tires 3 R14 tires Old bicycle handlebar Press washers Screws Screwdriver Grinder Knife Black paint Purple paint Brush
A motorcycle consists of five tires. Three of them are R14, from which we will make a motorcycle frame and two R16 tires - wheels and so on, and another R16 base.
So we made a squiggle, fix the edge, and take it with press washers to spare. Then we attach the resulting tank with self-tapping screws to the base and to the front wheel, but so that the edge of the tank does not extend beyond the first wheel of the base. Then we secure the seats with press washers, and wrap the remaining tail and fix it with self-tapping screws to the base and rear wheel.

Crafts for the playground
Homemade products made from old car tires can also be used in various playgrounds. There are a large number of ideas that can be implemented in order to give the yard a beautiful look. Using old car tires, you can turn a playground into a fairy-tale town where children will be very interested in playing and spending their leisure time. You can make a mini-sandbox, winged swings, fairy-tale animals or cartoon characters.
Making a sandbox
Every child loves to play with sand on the playground. But not every yard has a structure in the form of a sandbox. That is why, in order to create a beautiful and convenient container for sand, you can get a KAMAZ tire yourself. This device will make an ideal sandbox. You just need to place the tire on the desired area, carefully paint it, and then fill it with sand. The entire manufacturing process can be accomplished with the help of a child. The kid will really like this, because he himself will be able to interestingly color the future sandbox with his own hands.
Tire swing
From old car rubber you can make not only beautiful sculptures, but also exciting children's attractions. A tire swing will allow your child to have a very fun and interesting holiday at their summer cottage. It is worth noting that such devices will be much less dangerous than wooden or metal ones. There are several options for swings that can be made from tires. But it is advisable to start with the simplest.
For manufacturing you will need the following materials:
Making this type of swing is a fairly simple task. First you need to make a large loop on the rope, then throw it over the selected branch. The second end of the rope is passed through the wheel and wound into a loop. The swing must be hung vertically. The distance between the ground and the tire is approximately 90 cm. Such a product will support not only children’s weight, but also some adults.
Interesting ideas
People who have their own summer cottage strive to give this place comfort, as well as greater neatness of the entire territory . To decorate the area , you can be creative not only in terms of seating, but also in the design of the entire area. Products made from tires can give your dacha a more well-groomed and beautiful look.
It is also worth noting that such crafts are not only decorative in nature, but can also provide practical benefits for the owners if, for example, ottomans are made. A car tire is a readily available material that is not so difficult to find. However, you can make a very beautiful and original thing out of it. The positive thing is that absolutely anyone can handle the work, even those who have never encountered handmade crafts before.
