REAL TESTS In terms of equipment and general ergonomic concept, the Bars is head and shoulders above its progenitor, the Taiga Patrol. Here you will find a comfortable double seat with a backrest and additional handles, a new dashboard, modern colors of protective plastic, a reliable four-stroke engine with extended service intervals, and fuel efficiency, which allows the car to cover about 300 km on one gas tank refill. The suspension is very energy-intensive and comfortable. The only negative I noticed was the extra weight of the rear of the snowmobile. On a rolled surface, when turning, when braking and suddenly releasing the gas, the stern of this giant skids a little, but in general you get used to its yaw quite quickly. Despite the slippery upholstery, the seat is quite comfortable, quite at the level of its Western counterparts. It has a high load capacity, and this is the only parameter that attracts me to it, since the rest of the car is unlikely to impress anyone. I mean mediocre handling. The Taiga 850 Bars snowmobile is not agile, but has good cross-country ability. Breakdowns are minor, and the cost of parts is low. Currently the mileage is 1300 kilometers. The snowmobile has never failed on a long journey, except that sometimes it was necessary to fix minor breakdowns in the chassis. The device is well adapted for long distances and is quite reliable. I will definitely say that this model is unlikely to be suitable for active people or fans of extreme driving. This car will probably upset such people even more than me. Bars's capabilities are enough for me for fishing and hunting.
  • Denis, Krasnodar region. I have been using the Taiga 850 Bars snowmobile for more than two years now, the car is pleased with its cross-country ability and ability to tow heavy trailers. But from the point of view of reliability, not everything is so simple. Even in the first days of running-in, I discovered a problem associated with the vagueness of the gear shift. The transmission is noisy and vibrates. Unfortunately, after running it in, the problem remained, and I had to take the snowmobile to a service center - it’s good that the problem was fixed free of charge under warranty. There were no more serious problems. The build quality is average, there are uneven gaps and unevenly fitted parts. But this does not affect performance. Too much fuel consumption - probably due to the large dimensions and heavy weight of the snowmobile. But for refueling you can use cheap AI-92 gasoline.
  • Tolik, Belgorod region. The Taiga 850 Bars snowmobile gave me a lot of trouble, although overall I am happy with the machine for its price. Once I wandered into the wilderness, full of trees. I had to make a sharp maneuver, but to do this I had to brake. I sharply pressed the lever and turned the steering wheel. As a result, the car turned over on its side, and this happened right in front of the tree that I wanted to avoid. The snowmobile seems to be heavy, but there is still a risk of capsizing. At the same time, I checked the brakes - they are not good at all, otherwise I would have braked in time, and everything would have been fine. There were three such cases, and I received a storm of negative emotions. The car is not intended for active driving, although it accelerates quite well. Now the mileage is 970 kilometers. I didn’t like the high fuel consumption (although who would like that), and the mileage meter still shows incorrectly. For a leisurely drive, for fishing and hunting, it’s quite suitable.
