CHECKING THE REAR SPRINGS “SAMAR”
TEXT / VITALY URYUKOV
Few people know that a sagging spring (that is, an elastic element with given characteristics) cannot be replaced with either a rubber spacer or a metal bracket!
We bought new ones to replace the sagging springs - there are plenty to choose from. But what is the product?
Having spent money on five sets of rear “Samara” springs - three Russian (Tolyatti, St. Petersburg - Orel-Moscow) and two foreign, we checked their main parameters - geometry (length, diameters, etc.), stiffness and, most importantly, durability under conditions of bench life tests.
Engineers from Kineshma helped us carry out these studies.
WE MEET BY CLOTHING
Of the purchased sets, only three are dressed in branded packaging: Swedish, German and ours - a product of the Russian alliance (Oryol LLC TETA and Moscow LLC PASKER LTD). From the inscriptions on the boxes and labels it follows that the German BOGE and the Swedish KILEN are intended for the Samar family (the Swedes even indicated the catalog number of the springs). And partners from Moscow called their product “Spring 21099 rear (2108-2912712-10E).” I wonder if they know about this designation on the VAZ.
Nobody except the Germans put a trademark on the springs themselves. Only the Russians marked the hardness class - with paint on the middle turns, as required by the car plant. True, St. Petersburg and Orlov-Moscow springs are marked in brown, which is not intended for the domestic market.
Here is a serious nuisance: there are coarse burrs at the ends of the end (support) turns of the Orlov-Moscow springs! Yes, if only the appearance of the product was spoiled! Sometimes they interfere with the installation of springs in the suspension cups.
What is the result of the tests?
HALF A TURN HERE, HALF A TURN HERE
The results obtained in Kineshma are summarized in a table.
The free height of the spring is a reference size and is not controlled during production. But it is precisely this height that buyers usually (and often in vain) focus on when comparing springs. “Growth” actually says little about the suitability of a purchase for use. What will be the stiffness of the springs and their sag under load?
At factories, the diameter of the rod is checked before winding the spring, and its own diameter is checked before painting. Therefore, our measurements are approximate, although not useful. The diameter of the rod and the total number of turns help to correctly assess the applicability of the spring, without relying only on sellers - after all, there is no catalog number on the product. And its internal diameter shows the possibility (or impossibility) of installation in a suspension.
Only VAZ samples met the tolerance for the rod diameter. The rest did not save metal at all. However, we'll see how they are about their rigidity.
The full number of turns of domestic springs meets the requirements of the drawing. What about imported ones? The German BOGEs are half a turn short, while the Swedish KILENs, on the contrary, have one extra, which is not as harmless as it might seem. If the “Kilenov” spring in an extreme situation is compressed until the coils touch, its height will be 15 mm higher than normal. Reduced wheel travel leads to impacts on the compression buffer, and then on the suspension. The latter, especially when operating the car with a full load, will not last long, and it will also damage the body.
The internal diameter was measured on the outermost (support) turns, which determine the correspondence of the spring to its cup. Alas, one of the German ones and both Orlov-Moscow ones had to be rejected: it would have been very difficult to install these springs in the car’s suspension. So keep your receipts confirming the fact of purchase in a particular store! May be required when returning goods.
The control (static) load is determined by measuring it when the spring is compressed to a height of 245 mm. According to the control load (it should be within 295 ± 13 kgf), the springs are divided into two classes, marking them with paint on the middle turns. For the rear "Samara" - yellow corresponds to class A (more than 295 kgf), green - B (less than or equal to 295 kgf). The first ones will raise the car a little higher above the road. You cannot put springs of different classes into one suspension. With springs of different classes, and with unfavorable tolerances, the distortion can be visible to the naked eye. This has a particularly bad effect on stability and controllability.
Springs from Togliatti, Kineshma and Swedish met the standard. Moreover, ours confirmed that the sorting was correct - the green color of the paint (class B) really corresponds to the load. The Swedish ones fall into class A - they are stronger. The German ones were an unpleasant surprise: one spring is class B, but the second is already 33.5 kgf stronger. With these, the car will be skewed by a centimeter and a half. Products from St. Petersburg are not much friendlier - the difference in load is 29 kgf. The Orlov-Moscow ones are the strongest, but the difference between the heroes is only nine kilograms. If you manage to install them in the suspension (the internal diameter is underestimated!), the car will become about 50 mm higher than what the VAZ designers intended. However, a certain category of riders even like it.
Rear suspension springs for VAZ 2107. Tips for carrying out repair work
VAZ 2107 is a car that is characterized by simplicity in technical terms. It was created specifically for driving on Russian roads and for its climate. But, despite the high endurance of this car, poor quality of the road surface often causes problems to appear in the rear suspension. The first signals that it is time for the driver to look under the bottom of the car are:
- More frequent breakdowns in pits;
- The appearance of uncharacteristic noises and knocks;
- Deviation of a vehicle from a straight path.
On the VAZ 2107, a rear dependent suspension is installed at the factory, which has coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers. Four longitudinal rods and one transverse rod on rubber-metal silent blocks hold the rear axle beam to the body. All silent blocks installed on the suspension are characterized by the same design and can replace each other, which makes their replacement and repair several times easier.
The springs in the rear suspension design rest with their upper ends against rubber gaskets, which isolate vibration and, in turn, rest against the body, and the lower ends of the spring are fitted with plastic spacers, which rest against cups that are welded to the rear axle beam. The ability to compress the springs is regulated by special cylindrical stops, which are stamped into the body. The ends of the stops are equipped with rubber buffers. Another additional buffer that controls compression is located on the bracket located above the crankcase. The shock absorbers are fixed on silent blocks.
Replacing springs on a VAZ 2107 is very often a way to fix a problem in the rear suspension. In this case, inspection is always carried out on a lift or a special inspection pit. Jacks are sometimes used, but their power is not enough to allow a full inspection and diagnosis. Shock absorbers and joint bushings are also very often the cause of failure. They quickly wear out and fail, just like springs. Cracks and chips in the rubber of the internal bushings also lead to improper functioning of the device. Some types of faults can be determined by disassembling the car. For example, damage to the shock absorber is indicated by traces of oil on the walls of its housing.
Replacing rear suspension springs requires the technician to have certain knowledge and skills, although it is not the most difficult type of repair work that exists. A few simple tips will help simplify the process:
- Before undertaking repairs to the rear suspension, be sure to secure the car with anti-roll devices.
- Unscrew the rusted bolt, nut or fastener, first clean it with a wire brush, then moisten it with a special liquid, such as kerosene.
- For repairs, it is not necessary to completely dismantle the rear axle. You can replace parts one by one. But dismantling the longitudinal rod cannot be avoided. To do this you will need a key “19”.
- To avoid having to do the same job several times, immediately replace all those parts that look suspicious.
- Replacing the springs is carried out only after the shock absorber has been removed. They change them one by one. If the support ring has lost its shape, it must also be replaced.
Although disassembling the suspension does not require a high level of skill from the master, such as repairing electrical equipment of VAZs, it is still a responsible procedure. Therefore, if you do not have any experience in locksmithing, it is better to trust the technicians at the service station.
Marking of car springs by stiffness
In this article we will talk about the color coding of springs by stiffness and provide information in the form of a table for VAZ cars, and then we will consider the issue of installing springs.
At the stage of manufacturing car suspension springs, the last operation is to control the static load. Springs that do not fall within the tolerance are rejected, and the rest, depending on the obtained control load value, are divided into 2 classes. Springs with a positive load tolerance range belong to class A, and those with a minus tolerance – to class B. In this case, the suspension springs are marked with paint
(a strip is applied with a spray on the outside of the turns) corresponding to the class.
Spring stiffness is marked as follows: A - standard (hard); B - soft.
Color marking of VAZ springs
What springs are better to install?
Most of the springs installed on cars are marked with either green (hard) or yellow paint (soft). The question quite reasonably arises: which springs are best to install?
Of course, both class A and class B springs have an equal right to exist. The division into classes was adopted in order to reduce the difference in the length of the springs on the right and left sides of the car - and this is inevitable in mass production - which negatively affects its handling and stability.
If you frequently drive your vehicle with a full load, you should choose Class A springs as they can handle a little more load. But it should be borne in mind that the difference is insignificant and can range from 0 to 25 kilograms.
Rules for installing springs
It is recommended to install only springs of the same class on the car. Of course, in some cases, it is allowed to install class A springs in the front suspension, and class B springs in the rear suspension of the car. But this can be done when the store does not have the appropriate springs for the rear suspension of the car. But the other way around is not possible.
If the front suspension springs are class B, then the rear suspension springs must also be class B. In this case, it is strictly forbidden to install class “A” springs on the “rear”.
Instructions for working with rear springs
Before starting the replacement, you should slip 2 boots under the wheel located diagonally from the one being removed. Replacing the rear springs begins with unscrewing the wheel without removing it; later, you need to place a block under the end of the rear axle beam without lowering the jack. The entire mass of the car will rest on the block and will not compress the spring. Engine number, On a VAZ 2106 car, model and number, engine model, mass. The block should be positioned in such a way as not to interfere with unscrewing the lower shock absorber mount. Further on the annotation.
- Loosen the shock absorber mounting nut, unscrew it and do not remove the long bolt. The shock absorber must be unscrewed so that you can remove the spring later.
- Place ties on the coils of the spring 5 from the reverse sides, do not securely fix them, pressing them by the studs with a wrench.
- Raise the surface of the car body with a jack until you can remove the spring together with the ties.
- You, the rubber spacer sticks to the metal of the body and does not remain in the glass, only the steel ring falls out. I have been thinking for a long time about replacing the front windows of the VAZ 2106 with glass, like the VAZ 2106. Therefore, it is necessary to pry up the rubber using a long flat-head screwdriver so as not to remove it from the socket.
- Loosen the grips of the ties, alternately unscrewing the studs with a wrench. Replacing tie rods on VAZ 2101, 2103, 2105, 2106 as with VAZ collapsible tie rods. Rearranging the ties on the new spring will not tighten it to the approximate size of the old one.
- Place a new rubber spacer with a steel washer on the upper coil of the spring. Its configuration is such that it should coincide with the shape of the upper turn.
Spring Upgrade
Upgrading springs is the process of modifying a spring yourself. As a rule, the essence of upgrading a standard spring is either cutting it (shortening) or lengthening it (through spacers).
Shortened springs
Springs with a shortened length (relative to the standard for the VAZ 2107) are needed in cases where the driver wants:
- lower the height of the car body;
- optimize steering;
- reduce the sagging opening when overtaking;
- remove sideways roll when cornering.
Most manufacturers already have a range of lowering springs. In this case, the understatement varies by height (-30, -50 and -70 mm). Do not forget that at the same time the ground clearance is also reduced, so operating the “Seven” over potholes and bumps will become difficult.
Depending on the owner's preferences, the body can be lowered to different heights
To save money, you can shorten the springs yourself. To do this, you will need a standard pair of springs and an angle grinder (grinder). Usually it is enough to cut 2 turns to get the “low body” effect and ease of handling. Cutting off 3 turns makes the car very low, so it is already dangerous to drive it on uneven sections of the road.
For ease of operation, the spring is clamped in a vice

Spacers for springs
During operation, the springs wear out - and this is normal. The driver immediately begins to notice that the suspension is losing its rigidity: the car is more difficult to control on uneven roads, increased vibrations and shocks appear.
This problem can be solved by simply replacing the springs or using spacers. By the way, spacers can be used even when installing new springs - they increase their service life and increase the rigidity of operation.
In the auto store you can purchase several types of spacers for VAZ 2107 springs:
- interturn (that is, springs used between the turns);
- products for joints between the spring and the suspension cup;
- products for the joint between the ball joint and the cup;
- spacers for suspension.
Interturn spacers are inexpensive and easy to install. The use of such products will not in any way affect the ground clearance of the car, but will increase the degree of compression of the springs and their stiffness. After installing an interturn spacer on each of the springs, the car will not sag and can continue to be operated without roll when cornering.
Elements are made of high-strength rubber
The process for installing the interturn spacer is as follows:
- Place a jack under the front wheel.
- Expand the spring to maximum using crowbars.
- Soak the spacer in soapy water.
- Install the spacer with a screwdriver on one of the lower coils of the spring and secure it.
- Remove the wheel from the jack and perform the same procedure on the other side of the car.
All other types of spacers are aimed at upgrading the suspension, not the springs, but the essence of their installation and functions is the same.
Front suspension assembly disassembly sequence
Replacing the front springs of a VAZ 2106 is somewhat more complicated; you will need to completely unscrew or remove the shock absorber or unscrew its lower mounting bracket, which is not very convenient. The operation is complicated by the fact that the stand is located inside the spring and will not allow it to be removed. Otherwise, the process is very similar, only the block will need to be placed under the lower suspension arm. The key here is to maintain consistency.
- Remove the wheel, place a block under the lower arm so that you can unscrew the shock absorber.
- Having opened the hood, unscrew the shock absorber rod from above, and the 4.5 bracket bolts from below, remove the part.
- Place the ties on the spring and do not fix it without putting the pins in a long box.
- Unscrew the steering wheel all the way to gain access to the lower ball joint nut. Loosen and unscrew the nut, and lightly hit the bushing with a hammer to knock the ball joint pin out of it. The force of the compressed spring will help push it out.
- Now you can raise the jack and remove the spring along with the ties. Further work is performed as described above.
In order not to buy new springs, VAZ 2106 owners often purchase higher rubber spacers, these are commercially available. They are also placed under the rear springs
in order to raise the rear of the machine to transport heavy loads. In this case, the matter becomes simpler. After removing the tie part, there is no need to twist it, just change the rubber product, and then assemble the entire assembly.
Replacing springs on the famous “classic” is a long-established procedure that will only require some time and physical effort from its owner. Helpful information
A short rod unscrewed from the stocking will facilitate dismantling and installation. For ease of assembly, a new rubber spacer and a metal lining are fixed to the spring with electrical tape or tape. Reinforced springs with VAZ 02 - 04 will increase the load capacity, but the car will become rougher to drive. It is easier to replace the torque rods with new ones without wasting time pressing the bushings in a vice. When experimenting with the height of the springs, you should remember the length of the shock absorber stroke. They may have to be lengthened or different ones used. During disassembly, the brake hose receives extra stress, which can lead to damage.
Follow safety precautions and replacing rear springs will not be a hassle.
AvtoVAZ began production of the VAZ 2101 in 1972. More than three decades have passed since then, but the concept of the “Classics” was discontinued only recently, less than a year ago. Over the course of 300 years, the car has acquired a huge number of supporters, and just as many enemies who hate the domestic auto industry. Let's not take either side. It’s better to talk about how we can improve this line, and more specifically, the VAZ 2107. I must say, this car lends itself well to tuning, although many believe that this task is a useless and thankless task. But in fact, tuning a VAZ is quite simple, relatively cheap and quite interesting. Thus, even minimal modifications make the car much better than it is. Not to say that “it can’t get any worse,” but the fact remains. So, external tuning, which is mainly used for domestic cars, is always capable of changing a VAZ for the better. But, as a rule, things rarely go further than that. But in order to make your car unique, you need to approach this activity with a creative component, so to speak, in a versatile way. After all, the aerodynamic body kit of the VAZ 2107, no matter how effective it is, is not capable of making it drive at a speed of 200 km/; this requires completely different modifications. We will not go into details of increasing power, we will turn towards improving maneuverability.
Springs and shock absorbers for the front and rear suspension of VAZ 2106, 2107, 2101, 2105
Well, spring has come, I decided to do the suspension. First of all, I spent a couple of days surfing the Internet. You need a sports suspension so that the car behaves steadily on the highway at least up to 160 km/h and has the least amount of roll when cornering. At the same time, I want a more or less comfortable ride in the city, over bumps, etc., I also go to the country. There is no need for a big understatement. The money factor is also important...
SHOCK ABSORBERS FOR CLASSICS VAZ 2106, 01, 05, 07, 03 – PLAZA SPORT, SINGLE-PIPE, GAS-OIL.
{loadposition user20}
In the picture above there is an ammo of the old and new batch (yellow and orange).
Monotube shock absorbers are better and more reliable than twin-tube shock absorbers. And of course, gas-oil ones! First of all, I spent a couple of days surfing the Internet. The main fluctuations were between KYB and PLAZA. PLAZA won. In the Internet community there is a prejudiced attitude towards these shock absorbers, namely, that when buying them you are playing the lottery. Some drive perfectly for more than 100 thousand, some break down in the first thousand. Having reasoned logically, summarized the information and read the official explanations from PLAZA representatives, I came to the conclusion that the culprit is:
- Fakes. Questionable shock absorbers were purchased at markets, small shops, etc. Often the seller himself is confident in the originality of the shock absorber. To combat counterfeits, PLAZA changed the labeling and color of ammo. Now plaza sports are yellow (formerly orange), and plaza standard are orange (formerly yellow). I just got Plaza Sport front ones from different batches (one orange, one yellow). So take a look at the box before you buy it. And yet, in each box with a shock absorber there is a piece of paper with the serial number of the shock absorber with a stamp.
- Incorrect pumping. Many “tuners” don’t even know that shock absorbers need to be pumped before installation! Such shock absorbers have a high probability of failure in the first thousand. Bleeding shock absorbers before installing them on a car. I’ll briefly describe it: Turn the ammo head down, squeeze it all the way, 3-4 seconds. Hold, turn back, 3-4 seconds. hold, release (let open) and so on 6-7 times. To check whether it is pumped, we press sharply in the working position - if there are no dips, the stroke is uniform, then everything is fine. If there is, we pump it further. After bleeding, the shock absorber should remain in working position. Do not turn!
How much should the springs be cut? | Topic started by: Nitalaksha
Good evening, can you tell me how much the springs need to be cut so that the wheel arch liners don’t rustle too much, and is it even worth it? car with 14 rims
Alex (Javion) I think Nivov’s puzhins if you cut them, the front is 1 turn, the back is 2 turns, but the amors should be normal
Alex (Javion) What kind of springs are they? ! They seat a friend.
Alex (Javion) Alex, those whose finances do not allow, they cut, others buy at a discount
Alex (Javion) Alexey, the amors are changing. but quality!! she sits on 14 skating rinks and there are five in her, how is that possible? ! )))
Alex (Javion) Alex, naturally it is necessary to set the Amorra at a lower level, but you can set the rollers to 15, everything will be fine, but this will most likely be without lockers
Renat (Saghir) Why the hell cut them? Idiot fashion.
Artyom (Abhigurti) you install springs from the Niva, new ones, and cut 2 turns, I did this to my bro on the 5, and he also has 15 rims, without lockers, 7 people ride calmly in the car and nothing rubs even on bumps.
Replacing suspension springs on a VAZ 2107 with your own hands
We will replace the springs of the VAZ 2107, but before changing these elements, you need to make sure that this is really necessary. We approach the front of the VAZ 2107, grab the hood with our hands and begin to rock the body down. If the spring is in good condition, then the body should quickly return to its original position, which means there is no need to replace anything.
However, if the body continues to swing or is still not raised, then the springs will have to be replaced with new ones. We carry out a similar operation with the rear of the car. In order to prevent spring breakage or other unpleasant consequences, drivers carry out preventive replacement of springs one by one on each axle. Do not forget that car springs are constantly exposed to impacts from small stones, etc. All this leads to the fact that the surface of the spring is damaged, even if it is of very high quality. Moisture and dirt easily penetrate into damaged areas, which leads to corrosion. Corrosion gradually leads to breakdown of this place, so be careful; it is recommended to change the springs of the VAZ 2107 every 30,000 km. In addition, they need to be changed after an accident on one of the machine’s axles. Over time, the spring sags; many factors contribute to this, for example, due to the poor quality of roads. this phenomenon is called 'metal fatigue effect'. Here, too, you need to immediately change the spring, because in this state it does not function correctly, which means the entire suspension does not work correctly, which leads to premature wear of other parts. Let's take a closer look at the spring breakage itself.
In the case when a spring breaks off at the end, it is practically not felt; the car stands level. However, no matter where the breakdown occurs, this negatively affects its driving characteristics, since the kinematics of the suspension are disrupted and the position of the point of application of forces changes. As a result, the vehicle becomes dangerous to drive, even if problems are not felt. If an extreme situation occurs, it may happen that the shock absorber simply jams. As soon as the service life of the springs has passed, and this is determined by the manufacturer, they need to be replaced. When dismantling the old spring, remember how its ends are installed, because the new ones will need to be seated in the same way. There is no point in changing the spring if you are keeping the old shock absorbers, since they are closely connected to each other. The VAZ 2107 spring is considered a wear element. In case of timely preventive replacements. then serious damage can be avoided. First of all, remove the VAZ 2107 wheel, then remove the shock absorber. Slightly loosen several nuts securing the lower arm of the front suspension to the axis of the lower arms. Then we disconnect the clip of the stabilizer cushion and remove the cushion. Using a press, remove the lower ball joint pin from the steering knuckle. We insert the jack under the lower arm, without putting any load on the front suspension of the VAZ 2107, and unscrew the pin fastenings. Slowly lower the suspension and use a mounting blade to move the stabilizer through the upper pin securing its bracket. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
Choice depending on manufacturer
Often, when parts break down, drivers try to buy original factory parts as replacements, not wanting to experiment. However, there is a decent choice from other manufacturers, whose products are sometimes no worse than the original ones.
Sirius
There is a large assortment for different brands of cars, and parts are also manufactured in any configuration according to customer drawings.
Phobos
The quality is satisfactory, but, according to some car enthusiasts, after 2 years they begin to sag, losing rigidity. In total, about 500 types of springs are manufactured under this brand for any brand of car; there are standard, reinforced and lowered springs. Clearance kits with increased ground clearance are also available.
Technospring
Good quality for little money. They lose rigidity over time, but do not sag. Quite good as a budget option.
Very durable, no sagging. They have a stiffness adjustment directly on the car, done with a special thumb under the hood.
Eibach
High-quality, very durable, practically do not “age” - do not sag, do not lose rigidity. There is no roll when turning. But they cost one and a half times more than Koni.
Theory
It’s worth saying right away that the object we are considering should be used exclusively for travel, and not for transportation. If it is used as the second option, then alterations will be impractical. Let's talk about how to install stiffer springs on a VAZ 2107. First of all, we need to figure out why this is needed? The answer is both extremely complex and simple. The fact is that stiffer springs can dramatically increase the sensitivity to steering wheel movements. When turning, roll is seriously reduced, which means that the aerodynamics of the car remain constant, despite movements in space. The aerodynamic bag, if its configuration remains constant, begins to gradually “adjust” the car, and if it is, so to speak, deformed by tilting the body, then it will play an absolutely opposite role.
Go ahead. So how can reinforced springs on a VAZ 2107 increase steering sensitivity? Very simple. While the car tilts in one direction, the other is greatly unloaded, which means that the wheel partially, or maybe completely, loses traction with the road. Higher rigidity springs correct this deficiency and make the weight distribution on the sides more constant and uniform. As you know, a sports suspension is distinguished not only by its rigidity, but also by its height. As a rule, one coil is cut off for the tuner, because it is almost impossible to find similar springs of shorter length. If this does happen, then they will most likely be a little softer, which means the meaning is lost.
The best way
In order to achieve your goal, you definitely need to think about purchasing only high-quality spare parts
, which are created specifically for tuning. They were listed in the tools and materials section. This is the only way to reduce the harmful effects on all parts of your steel horse.
If we talk about other classic models of the domestic automobile industry, then here all the work is carried out in a similar way. Experts also advise using exclusively special parts and not cutting springs.
As for the actual process of installing new springs
, then it is standard, that is, no additional innovations are required. Everything is done in accordance with the rules of standard assembly of the vehicle chassis. Moreover, each individual part is always equipped with a manual, which you need to study in order to do everything really well.
Do not forget about the negative aspects that this procedure brings. The most important thing is that the car becomes much stiffer. This is felt throughout the body. There are also undeniable advantages.
We also recommend reading our article: “Do-it-yourself modifications to the VAZ 2107.”
Do not forget that after carrying out the work, the brake force regulator on the rear axle must be adjusted. If this is not done, the car will consider that it is overloaded. The rear wheels will skid during heavy braking.
Thus, there are two main ways to lower a VAZ 2107. As you can see, simply trimming the springs is ineffective
, as it leads to a decrease in the performance of the machine. It is better to use special spare parts for tuning, since only they can truly replace original components with high quality.
What springs should I buy for a Niva Chevrolet and how to replace them?
The suspension of the Chevrolet Niva SUV is subjected to heavy loads when moving over rough terrain. A component of the suspension, the spring, is responsible for softening impacts and increasing comfort.
If during a trip the level of comfort begins to decrease, the car behaves worse in turns, then the elastic elements should be checked and replaced.
Purpose
Chevrolet Niva comes from the factory with springs, both front and rear. The main purpose of these devices is to absorb all the shocks of the suspension that occur when the wheels hit potholes and bumps. They are located in the gap between the wheel and the frame of the car, due to which shocks from the road are smoothed out.
For their manufacture, special high-strength steel is used. The number of turns of the device affects not only the quality of shock absorption, but also the distance of the body from the suspension.
