In some configurations of the Lada Vesta (for example, Lux), an additional body electronics unit (EMM or comfort unit) is installed inside the panel, which is responsible for the operation of the dimensions, daytime running lights (DRL), and wipers. The electrical circuits of modern LADA cars are very different from previous AvtoVAZ models. Some of the relays have disappeared and instead they are replaced by an electrical package control unit (comfort unit), which is responsible for the operation of the ESP, central locking, turn relays, turn signals, etc.). Lada Vesta and XRAY use a similar CBKE module (central body electronics unit).

Short circuit protection has tripped
The optional body electronics unit uses drivers (vnq6004sa), which have built-in non-volatile memory and electronic short circuit protection. After the electronic protection is triggered, the lighting control driver stops supplying voltage to the headlights or DRL contacts until it receives an unlock command from the controller.

If the command is not received independently, then it is possible to unlock the EMM manually using a special Grade-X scanner (available from LADA dealers). After connecting the device, you need to find the corresponding functions (left or right side lighting) and check the appropriate boxes. After which we perform a reset to factory settings, and the operation of the dimensions with DRLs is restored.

Channels burned out
In some cases, as a result of a short circuit in the additional body electronics unit, one or two channels burn out (the dimensions on only one side do not work, or they do not light up at all). You can restore the operation of the EMM unit using a conventional relay by connecting it externally to the body electronics unit (directly to the wires from the connectors of this unit):
- If one channel is burned out, you will need a relay with one group of contacts
- If two channels burn out, you will need a relay with 2 groups of contacts

- Restoring dimensions (the dotted line indicates the second channel of dimensions, in this case we install a relay with two groups of contacts);

If the license plate light and buttons in the cabin do not light up
. Restore the burnt channel according to scheme No. 1, only instead of d11 you need to restore d24. That is, we swap two wires S2-D11 and S2-D24, the rest is the same. In other words, S2-D24 and P2-B2 go to the contact group. And the relay coil goes to S2-D11 and P1-A10. We disconnect D24 from the EMM (more details on the 2nd page of comments).
Attention! If the short circuit occurs as a result of the installation of LEDs or during the installation of non-standard equipment (for example, a rear view camera, interior lighting, etc.) connected to the standard wiring (the factory integrity of the wiring is broken), then the warranty does not apply to the additional body electronics unit.

After replacing the TsBKE, it is necessary to perform the training procedure (entering parameters) and automatic configuration of the TsBKE using the Grade-X diagnostic device. AvtoVAZ prescription (unlocking circuits in EMM)
The EMM unit goes into defense. To unblock channels:
- Without removing the block from the EMM block, connect the connector with the wire to the white block, pin 3 (free).
- Connect the other end of the wire to the glove box illumination block (green wire).
- Turn on the ignition for 2-3 seconds.
- After turning off the ignition, remove the wire connection.
- Use Grade-X to clear errors in the EMM block.
- Check the functioning of the previously blocked circuit in the EMM unit.
Apparently, to unblock the circuits in the EMM block, you should apply 12 V to the 3rd pin of the EMM block for 2-3 seconds. Then reset the errors using a scanner, and this can be not only a Grade-X scanner. The order was posted by one of the users of www.lada-vesta.net.

IMPORTANT! First of all, you need to disconnect the battery!
Removing the glove box
To gain access to the necessary elements, you must first disassemble the glove box. This is not difficult to do. It is necessary to open the glove compartment lid, and then press the latches located at the top.
It's better to start from the glove compartment area
When this is done, you need to pull the cover towards you, and you will feel the resistance of the 3 latches below. Next, you need to unscrew the 5 screws that secure the box body to the dashboard.
Then you should unsnap the side panel plug from the right end, grab the drawer handle, which is located at the top center, and pull it towards you. It is also necessary to disconnect the limit switch from the terminal and disconnect the lamp plug.

By the way, not everyone removes the glove compartment cover first during the dismantling process. This is done for greater convenience, but you can do without this step.

In the niche behind the glove box
After removing the box, access to the EMM unit fixed on the engine panel will open.
Also visible is the VCM unit, which is located higher, in front of the passenger airbag.
The block is fixed with a mount and a bolt with a nut of 8 on the reverse side.
The VSM unit must be removed, and then the black block S1 must be disconnected, as indicated in the information letter.
From the removed block you need to remove contact No. 37, which is marked in pink and green.
The wire must be carefully insulated, and then put the block in place.
Then the EMM block is taken, from which the gray block S2 is removed.
In the block it is necessary to swap the third and fourth contacts, which are indicated in the photo in black-blue and yellow, respectively.
As for removing the wires, everything is quite simple.
Each block is equipped with a white plate and white latches on the sides. First, use a thin knife to pry off the plate, and then the clamps.
Next, you need to arm yourself with some thin object (for this Vladislav used a spring) and insert it into a small hole, which is slightly above the contact. They need to bend the contact retainer and remove the wire.
In the end, everything is assembled in reverse order.
On the steering column
After completing the work in the Vesta glove compartment area, you need to proceed to the steering column area. First of all, the casing is disassembled, for which 2 T20 bolts at the bottom are unscrewed, and then the plastic is snapped off.
You need to lift the top cover and move it towards the dashboard. We are interested in the low/high beam switch, to which the gray block fits.
First, the block itself is removed by pressing on the plastic tab.
In the block you need to swap two wires - the 6th and 7th, marked in white-blue and yellow-red.
But in this case, the layout of the block is slightly different, and therefore you will have to remove the white latch from it, for which you need to pull it towards you.
Afterwards, an awl is inserted into the back of the block and pulled out of the block along with the wire. All that remains is to swap the indicated wires and then reassemble everything in the reverse order.
As a result of the described actions, the Lada Vesta battery should stop discharging.

The additional “Multimedia” package is no different from what is included in the “Comfort” package. The cost of Lada Vesta when adding this package increases by 24 thousand rubles. The most expensive equipment will cost the buyer more than 700 thousand rubles.
